The following lesion was present on the forehead of a 71 year old white male who was found deceased in his home. The house itself was very unkempt and the man appeared disheveled:

What is your diagnosis based on this appearance? Is this natural? Or is this accidental, suicidal, or homicidal trauma? Something else entirely? If you have a theory on what this is, how would you confirm the diagnosis?
